Thank you for your kind words. And now to answer some of your questions. The Goth Quarter is a remake of the Sims 1 lot. There is one over at MTS that I originally downloaded, but when I placed it in my world, I didn't like the way it looked, so I decided to do my own. I used Lisen's wrought iron set. I'm still working on it. I'm waiting for the new EP to do the playground and hopefuly a restaurant in that building closest to the hospital lot.

The sheriff's office is a lot I downloaded - I forget where. But it was originally a western sheriff's office. I just added the coroner's office and squad rooms upstairs, then fiddled with some of the decorations downstairs, and added some "swampy" features outside. Plantlife you'd actually see in our deep South.

Cajun Joe's was based on Sandy's work over at ATS3. It's a residential lot that comes with Bridgeport. She made it into a dive bar, but doesn't offer it for download. So I studied her work, then did it for my town. I've changed some of the CC - like addidng the portraits of the original founders, and 2 pics of the daily catch (alligator and freshwater fish charts), plus the ever-popular 'dogs playing poker' picture - but other than that, I tried to keep it as true to her lot as I could. I did the same thing with her abandoned train station lot. But that was a complete build - not a renovation. I changed a few things from the original - added broken and boarded-up windows and did the decor inside. Her building is basically just the shell. I wanted mine to be a place where the homeless were hanging out. She has promised to make me some "trash" with her next upload, so it'll change after she does.

Anyway, once again, thank you for this world. I have downloaded lots of other worlds, and ended up deleting them, almost immediately. This is the 1st world that I truly love. This is what EA should have given us. So thank you all again!

Susieb,
Thanks for reminding me where Tony's Gym came from. When I first saw it, I had no real plans for it - just really liked the way it looked. But once I started playing with this world, I thought it would look really good over there by the stadium. It is a lovely addition to my town - and I liked the story that you made up to go along with it. If EA ever gives us a Open For Business type EP, and we can have business owners again, I am definitely creating a Tony to go with it.
Anyway, I changed the tag on the picture, so others will know where it came from.

When I install the world (after first installing the cc and then the lots and sims) it is not generating with the lots in place. Is that normal or have I done something wrong? I've tried it three times in a clean install. It's a beautiful world. Thanks for taking the time not only to make it, but to share it.

I am thinking, gethane, that you will need to manually place the Sims/lots since they were not included with a saved version of the World.

Thanks for the reply. Is there a map of where they are supposed to be? When clicking on the houses, some of them have their address in the name, but the "named" ones do not. I tried to figure out where to put everything last night but some lots just don't say.

Edit: I just noticed that the house addresses appear to be within the description in the corresponding forum threads. Duh. :)

I was able to get all the lots placed :) The few that did not mention an address I was able to place last by elimination.

Hello.  I had to register so that I could come in and say thank you for this world and all the work you put into it for all.

I had never installed a new world before, but was just so taken with the lots, houses and sims I could not resist.

You all did an amazing job and I thank you all for sharing this wonderful project.
